Delete your account

How to permanently delete your AlephTalk account from the app or by email, and exactly what data is removed.

Last updated: August 11, 2026

You can delete your AlephTalk account at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Deleting from the app

  1. Open AlephTalk and go to Settings.
  2. Tap Account, then Delete account.
  3. Enter your password to confirm.

Your account is removed straight away and you are signed out on that device.

Deleting by email

If you cannot reach the app, email support@alephtalk.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will verify the request and complete it within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your profile: name, email address, phone and WhatsApp number, native language and profile photo.
  • Your learning data: lesson progress, quiz scores, streaks and experience points.
  • Your subscription records held in our own database.
  • Anything you posted in the community, including questions and replies.
  • All sign-in tokens, so every device is signed out.

What may be kept, and why

Records of payments are held by our payment provider under their own retention rules, and we may keep the minimum transaction records we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes. These records do not include your password and are not used to rebuild your profile.

Ordinary server logs may retain a technical record of requests for a short period as part of routine security and abuse monitoring.

Before you delete

Deleting your account does not by itself cancel billing arranged through a third-party store or payment provider. See Refunds & Cancellation for how to end a subscription, and cancel it first if one is active.
